Greetings! I’m Heather and I’d love to share the story behind HEARTS in FOCUS. The company was founded by my husband, Darren, who is also a talented wedding videographer. Darren’s journey into wedding videography began in 2010, and it wasn’t long before he earned recognition as one of the top videographers in the U.S. His exceptional skills and artistic vision quickly garnered attention, and as he continued to receive inquiries from couples across the country, Darren decided to expand his reach and he made the decision to train a select group of skilled filmmakers to uphold the same high standards of videography he was known for, thus allowing us to offer our services covering over 20 cities nationwide.

You’re probably wondering how Darren and I met? We actually met at a wedding we were both working! Darren was hired as the videographer, and I was brought on as the photographer. We didn’t know each other before that day, but it didn’t take long for us to realize we had found our perfect match—not just in life, but in our passion for capturing the love of couples. Now, we have the privilege of sharing that same love and connection with couples together, through our work at HEARTS in FOCUS.

So, what sets us apart? Unlike larger companies that take on every couple that reaches out and then hire freelancers to film weddings, we pride ourselves on a more thoughtful and personal approach. While this model may increase revenue, it can often lead to inconsistent results. At HEARTS in FOCUS, we partner with a carefully curated group of videographers who are rigorously trained in our signature filming and editing style. This ensures that the quality and aesthetic you see on our website is precisely what you will receive, no matter which team member is filming your wedding. We are a small, close-knit team that prioritizes quality control, consistency, and exceptional customer service—values that are the cornerstone of our business.
